To drive a culture of Strategic thinking in an organization, I suggest the below mentioned 5-step approach –
1. Reinforce / Re-iterate the Mission & Vision of the Organization through multiple and iterative communication channels.
2. Define the Goals & Objectives inline with the Mission and Vision of the Organization.
3. Share with employees thru Internal & External industry forums context of the Outside world i.e. External Context about Industry / Market trends, Competition, New Technology etc.
4. Help employees understand the rationale behind defined set of choices and leaders need to be consistent in their decisions and messaging.
5. Last but not the least Deliver, Measure and Report Success metrics inline with Mission & Vision.
